What is a statement fee?
A statement fee of 290 ISK is charged once a month for your payment settlements reports. It is usually charged in the first payment settlement of each month.
What is an auth fee?
The Auth fee is charged for every authorisation that is taken. An authorisation is made when a transaction is processed on your terminal to make sure there are enough funds on the card in use.
What is a decline fee?
The Decline fee is charged for all transactions that are declined. The reason for the decline can varydue to different reasons.
What is an interchange fee?
An interchange fee is primarily paid by SaltPay directly or indirectly (i.e. through a third party) to the Card Issuer for each transaction. It is then deducted from your payment settlement for each transaction settled.
What is a payment settlement date?
The date of payment that is determined by the Merchant Agreement.
What is a settlement amount?
The payment settlement amount is the sum of all transactions made on your terminal, minus the fees deducted according to the Merchant Agreement.
What is a settlement currency?
The currency in which SaltPay makes settlement payments to you. The Settlement Currency shall be as specified in your Application Form or otherwise agreed between you and SaltPay.
What is a service fee?
Service Fees are payable by you to SaltPay for services provided under your Service Agreement, including the “Merchant Service Fees”.
What is a Card Scheme Fee?
The card scheme Fees are imposed by the Card Schemes (i.e. Mastercard and Visa) on Card-based transactions.
What is a minimum settlement payment amount?
SaltPay reserves the right to decide upon a minimum settlement payment amount. When your settlement payment is lower than the minimum settlement payment amount, your payment will be postponed to the next settlement date when the accumulated settlement payment amount reaches the minimum amount.
Why would SaltPay need to deduct money from my settlement?
If there was, for some reason or issue, an extra payment made to your settlement, in order to normalize your balance without needing you to transfer this extra amount to SaltPay bank account, we will deduct the payment and correct it.
You will be able to identify it on your settlement statement as “Deduction of additional payment”.
