What do we mean when we talk about a PAX terminal?🧐
The Pax A920 terminal is an Android mobile payment device, it is secure, modern and ground breaking.
It includes battery, printer and two integrated cameras. This great payment terminal accepts tons of payments. It has both Wi-Fi and 4G connection that meets the daily demands of your business. It also gives you endless possibilities to make your life easier.
How do I turn it on and off?
To turn on the terminal simply press the button on the side of the terminal for a few seconds. The same goes for turning the terminal off– simply hold the button down and then press ‘Power off’ on the screen.

What can I find inside the box? 🎁
The box includes the terminal, a plug/adapter, micro-USB cable and a roll of thermal paper.
The terminal has a serial number that can be found in two places:

Underneath the barcode on the back of the device

Within the setting Settings Page in the Salt App.
The settings are accessed by clicking on the cog icon in the upper left corner on the home screen. You can also see the app version you are running, for example. 1.5.0.
How do I check the battery level?
To see the power level percentage, you can swipe down from the top of the screen and it will appear in the upper right corner. The battery indicator will also change colour depending on the level of the charge. Above 50% will be green, 35-50% will be yellow and below 35% will be red.
Please note that if the terminal runs out of battery it is unable to recharge in the charging dock. Try removing the charging cord from the dock and plugging it directly in on the terminal’s left side. Then it should start charging.

How do I set up the Wifi connection?
To set up the Wi-fi on your terminal you swipe down from the top of the screen twice you should be able to see the Wi-Fi symbol. You can access the Wi-Fi settings menu by holding down on the Wi-Fi symbol. From there you can choose the correct network and enter your password.
How do I replace the receipt roll?
To replace the receipt roll on the terminal you need to open the paper housing on the back of the terminal. Remove the old roll and replace with a new one, ensuring that the end of the paper is on the underneath and a small amount is projecting through the teeth.
Please note that if the terminal battery level is too low it will not activate the printer. To activate it you must connect to terminal to a power source and wait the minimum power level of 10%.
