What is it?
Our terminals allow us to integrate loyalty schemes into our apps. This integration allows your customers to earn rewards based on the campaigns you create. You can reward the customers loyalty and offer great services. Customer Rewards offers a meaningful incentive for your customers to come back and buy from you again.
How does it work?
All terminals have the integration available by default. To have a full loyalty experience, they need to setup loyalty campaigns on the Loyalty provider of your choice and enable the Loyalty Enrolment setting (optional) on your terminals.
Getting ready for Loyalty
- Sign up to a Loyalty Service, ex: Yoyo Go.
- Turn on the Loyalty Enrolment in the ⚙️ Settings page of your SaltPay terminals (optional)
- Create loyalty campaigns on your Loyalty Service platform.
On Settings page, you will find the Loyalty Enrolment option. When turned on, it will allow you to use your SaltPay terminal to onboard new customers into your Loyalty Program right in the moment when their purchase is occurring.
This function allows you to increase your loyal customer base. Just like giving loyalty stamps but more efficient and personalized.
When turned off, enrolment screen disappears from your transaction flow, but you will still be able to scan vouchers and customers with loyalty memberships will still be able to earn rewards.
How do customers earn rewards?
Customers that are already enrolled to your Loyalty program
A customer can join the loyalty program by downloading the app and linking a credit card to it, they will instantly earn points when their payment goes through the SaltPay terminal.
Please note that if a customer is paying with a different card that is not the one linked to their Loyalty app, they are considered as non-enrolled to the loyalty program.
For customers that haven't enrolled yet
If a customer hasn't joined your loyalty program, the terminal will show a Join Loyalty screen to invite the customer to enroll and then complete the transaction.
- If the customer accepts to join, you or your customer can enter the details needed. A SMS will be sent to their smartphone with a link to download the Loyalty Platform app and create an account.
- After entering the phone number, the transaction is completed, as usual.
A nice feature is that your customer will be able to earn on that order, retroactively. They purchase something with you and get started by already earning a reward.
For your customer to earn rewards in future payments, they will need to link their credit card into their Loyalty app.
How do customers redeem rewards?
When entering the total payment amount on your SaltPay terminal, you will have an option to scan any rewards your customer has previously acquired.
The scan is done by the built-in camera in the back of your SaltPay Terminal.
This will automatically deduct the value of the voucher from the total payment amount.
